Background
Ashton double majored in Psychology and Youth & Social Innovation at the University of Virginia and went on to complete her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. Following graduation, she worked in community-based mental health, where she gained extensive experience supporting individuals across the lifespan while giving back to her community. During this time, she worked with clients navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, parenting challenges, and systemic barriers.
Ashton has provided a range of intensive counseling services and later served as a Clinical Supervisor, supporting and mentoring a team of mental health professionals. She is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia and remains committed to ongoing growth in her clinical work.
She strives to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore challenges and develop practical tools.
The verse that Ashton resonates with in counseling is John 14:16 "And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper [Counselor], to be with you forever."
Family
Ashton is married to her high school sweetheart and they have the best husky (Koda) . They enjoy camping, traveling, and being creative together.
