background

Lynn has a Masters in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. She has worked on a psychiatric unit followed by two private practices before starting Restoration Counseling Center.

She felt led by the Lord to become a counselor and to later start Restoration Counseling Center. The decision was not a business one, but rather obedience to a hard calling. She feels passionate about being a vessel for the Lord to be apart of the healing process for the body of Christ. She feels strongly that as Christian counselors because we have access to the help of the Holy Spirit and the Great Counselor we should be the best at what we do.

She has received advanced training in couples counseling, Gottman Level 1 and Level 2, Theophostic Prayer, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Trauma Certification, and Internal Family Systems. She really feels called to work with struggling marriages, individuals with anxiety and OCD, perfectionism, and spiritual issues.

Lynn had the immense honor of being apart of the healing process for two clients that have published their stories, including Daring To Fight by Victoria Mininger and Break Every Chain by Jonathan Hickory.  Break Every Chain has been turned into a movie and is now on Amazon prime.

family

Lynn has been married for twelve years to her best friend (and church planter) and she is a mother to three of the cutest kids in the whole world. She loves adventure, going to the beach, trying new restaurants, and traveling the world.

Lynn was enthusiastically recommended to me by three people, and, after my experience with her, I would definitely do the same for anyone looking for effective counseling. ... The beauty of this therapy is that it allowed me time to connect with God and to feel His words of support and encouragement. I began the session feeling anxious and depressed and left the session completely changed for the better - and the change has been a lasting one. If I felt the anxiety creep in again, I referenced her notes in my email and felt my peace return. This was hands down the most effective hour of therapy I have received...I am even more convinced that her approach is truly based on the needs of the client and that she is comfortable and confident in her ability to provide a tailored approach to therapy to immediately assist clients overcome issues. I am not sure counseling is even the right word to call our session; it was much more of an experience for which I am truly grateful.

Lynn has a short waiting list. To be added to her waiting list, please email her at counselingcville@gmail.com.
